Judd Foundation is working on a set of general guidelines for the conservation and handling of Judd works. Until the guidelines are published, Judd Foundation recommends the following:

1 For all questions regarding the conservation, installation and maintenance of works by Judd in any medium, please contact the Judd Foundation, info@juddfoundation.org or 212.219.2747 x 1003.

2 Judd Foundation recommends nonintervention wherever possible. Only accredited conservators* who follow the internationally accepted Code of Ethics, and Guidelines for Practice, for the Conservation of Artistic Works should assess and treat Judd works. Judd Foundation strongly recommends that conservators contact the Foundation prior to treatment.  For assistance in locating an accredited conservator for evaluation of Judd work, contact the Foundation as above.

3  Accurate and complete records for all damage, examination, sampling, scientific investigation and treatment should be made, both written and pictorial.

*An accreditated conservator is generally defined as a person with a Masters Degree in Conservation from one of the internationally accredited programs.
